We are an entrepreneurial immigration law firm that is on track for aggressive growth, and we need an experienced attorney to join the immigration department.

As an immigration attorney, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of removal defense (EOIR), family-based and humanitarian immigration cases.

You will represent clients in their immigration court cases and appeals.

The ideal candidate is an individual who has courtroom experience, is vested in every case, is eager to learn, is creative, and is self-motivated.

The ideal candidate will also have strong written and oral advocacy, effective caseload management, and excitement to be a member of a team breaking barriers on what a modern firm can be and should be.

Compensation :

$90,000 - $120,000 yearly

Responsibilities :

  • Manage a caseload of removal defense cases in the Phoenix Immigration Court
  • Prepare and litigate applications for relief from removal, including but not limited to asylum, withholding of removal, Convention Against Torture, cancellation of removal, and adjustment of status
  • Represent clients in family-based immigration matters before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of State, and corresponding consulates around the world.

Cases include but are not limited to U-Visas, N-400 applications, protection under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), adjustment of status, I-601A and I-212 waivers, and family petitions

  • Conduct legal research
  • Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff regarding client meets and case status and strategy
  • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
  • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies

Qualifications :

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Must be licensed to practice law by the highest court of any state
  • Represented clients in at least thirty (30) master calendar hearings before EOIR
  • Represented clients in at least twenty-four (24) individual hearings before EOIR
  • Represented clients in at least twelve (12) USCIS interviews
  • Proficiency in Spanish
