Position Summary

CVS Health is recruiting for an Executive Director of Trade Brand Contracting will be responsible for leading the sourcing and contract negotiations of vaccines for the retail business segment, including MinuteClinic.

Additionally, this individual will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the retail discount strategy for non-vaccine branded pharmaceutical products.

This leader will be a key point of contact with strategic manufacturer partners and will help lead internal collaboration to identify and pursue new opportunities with manufacturer partners and CVS Health.

You’ll make an impact by :

Assisting in the development of the CVS Health vision and strategy relating to vaccine procurement and expanding vaccine opportunities in the marketplace.

Aiding in the development and execution of retail branded pharmaceutical product discount strategy.

Ensuring internal collaboration to execute on vaccine and) retail brand discount strategies.

Working with manufacturers to identify new partnership opportunities.

Achieving P&L budgets and targets.

Supporting opportunities to position CVS as a market leader on all elements of pharmacy programs and services.

Utilizes relationships and external data to generate product intelligence.

Backing new product offerings that link business objectives to the CVS Health enterprise goals.

Product innovation development, delivering offerings that will improve dispensing and increase the lifetime value of a CVS patient.

Attending industry conferences and stay abreast to changing market dynamics, product pipelines and competitive offerings.

Supporting CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumer-centric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities in which we work, live, and serve.

Required Qualifications

The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company’s business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders.

The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes :

10+ years of retail pharmacy and / or pharmaceutical industry.

Pharmaceutical industry knowledge of drug pricing policies, trends, and innovation.

Experience working in health plans or pharmacy with experience in drug spend and / or formulary strategies.

Complex contract negotiations experience, leading and managing multiple manufacturer relationships.

Industry knowledge of pricing policies, trends, and ability to successfully partner internally across the CVS enterprise as well as externally with supplier partners to deliver innovation expected in the marketplace.

Experience in executive analytics, designing and building executive-level, analytic convincing business presentations.

Advanced presentation and facilitation skills with executive level internal and external customers.

Deep level understanding of finance.

Ability to effectively collaborate across the organization with other departments and deploy capabilities to internal and external customers.

Ability to problem solve, identify, and remove roadblocks, triage, and prioritize issues that impact one or more project work streams.

Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is :

$131,500.00 - $303,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
