Job Overview - Program Director (MSW) :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director who will be responsible for overseeing a full range of care management and supportive services for adults with serious mental illnesses.
This role aims to enable these individuals to live independently by securing permanent, supported housing and providing various necessary support services.
Location : New York, NY
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
Compensation : $80,000 - $83,000 annually
Responsibilities as the Program Director :
- Program Management : Plan, develop, and monitor the operations of a 200-unit and expanding supported housing program targeting seriously and persistently mentally ill populations.
- Team Supervision : Manage a team of Clinical Supervisors, overseeing care coordination and supportive services.
- Maintain contracted levels and standards of service and ensure the program's compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop partnerships with local agencies such as state psychiatric centers, community residences, and hospitals.
- Facilitate communications with state, city, and borough-based agencies and programs. Coordinate housing care management activities including client rehabilitation and advocacy.
- Oversee staff training, performance evaluations, and provide ongoing supervision and professional development.
Qualifications for the Program Director :
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW); LMSW or LCSW required, LCSW – R preferred.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a related field, preferably managing programs for the mentally ill and substance-abusing populations.
- Excellent communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage complex operations and diverse teams.
