Michael Baker International is seeking a Senior IT Asset Administrator to join our Corporate Technology organization. The Senior IT Asset Administrator would be responsible for the strategic management of software and hardware within the organization.
This position provides support for all asset purchases from all areas of the IT department. This position is primarily focused on the selection, implementation, maintenance and support of hardware and software used by the company.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall purchase and accounting of the company infrastructure assets including network devices, servers and all support software and cloud services.
- Provide oversight, advise and counseling to IT department staff with relation to equipment use, implementation, training, support, and long-term maintenance.
- Provide support for purchase, implementation and maintenance of a reliable infrastructure including hardware and software.
- Assist in negotiate contracts for hardware / software support agreements purchased by the company.
- Track and renew hardware and software maintenance agreements.
- Identifies savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services
- Works with the IT support team in the development of enterprise-wide IT purchasing standards and procedures.
- Manages enterprise wide asset management systems. Maintains and manages software license information and updates for compliance
- Coordinates software updates and installs with the business and IT Services
- Provides support to the Finance department by providing asset information and managing the physical inventory control.
- Defines requirements for asset acquisition and procedures to include management and disposal strategies for the enterprise.
- Research and procure orders with Procurement dept. Ensure receipt of purchase orders, invoice processing and reconciles changes in inventory.
- Assist with internal audits and True-Ups as required by the vendor.
- Work closely with the business on software needs, including setting up vendor meetings and demos / evals.
- Provides usage trend reporting, forecasting, and analytics
- Monitors software trends to determine contract(s) required
- Train team members for new software portals and ITAM tools
Experience
2-5 years of related experience. Experience in a similar role at an AEC firm would be preferred.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- Technology platform experience with Ivanti or other enterprise scale IT asset management tools, Oracle financials or similar tool, Microsoft PowerBI / Power Automate and Microsoft O365 suite of tools.
- Strong business process / automation and reporting / analytics skills.
- Experience in organizational change management practices and ability to draft well-written communications.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or other related field.
Compensation
The approximate compensation range for this position is $82,000 to $129,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
Workplace Flexibility
This position can work remotely in the United States, but strong preference for someone located in Moon Township or Pittsburgh, PA.
