The OAG is seeking an energetic and dynamic professional to support the Child Support Information Technology hardware allocation team. As an Inventory Specialist, you will support the Computer Allocation Center (CAC) in Austin, Texas. This position will have the incredible responsibility for managing, monitoring, deploying, and addressing any physical inventory-related items to the IT team as well as coordinating escalations, logistics, and other support needs for our team members across the state.
Responsibilities include managing large inventory at the computer allocation center, providing assistance with surplus process and purchase requests, and supporting the CAC program supervisor with daily operations. You will also prepare and manage inventory databases, complete forms to successfully transfer inventory, image equipment as required, and maintain the warehouse space.
Coordinates and / or reviews and prioritizes incoming operational issues and requests for technical assistance related to computers, software, and standard office equipment. You will identify and log the type of problem and monitor the status to ensure a timely resolution. Additionally, you will coordinate and / or set up equipment for employee use and perform or ensure proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
