Procurement & Contracts Specialist

RK&K is seeking a well-qualified individual to develop procurement strategies, advise clients, and draft contract documents for traditional and alternative delivery of transportation and water / wastewater projects.

This Procurement and Contracts Advisor position requires significant interaction with both internal and external clients across RK&K’s markets and geographic regions.

This is a hands-on position requiring both advising of clients and development of work product. Location is flexible but will need to be a drivable distance from an RK&K office location.

Essential Functions

• Conduct Project Risk Analysis and make Procurement Type Recommendations.
• Develop contract documents for traditional and alternative project delivery.
• Coordinate with technical teams for the development of appropriate technical and performance specifications.
• Verify compliance with Federal, State and Local requirements for public procurements.
• Develop procurement and evaluation processes and assist Owners with procurement administration.
• Assist Owners with Industry Meetings, Pre-Proposal Meetings, Confidential Meetings, etc.
• Coordinate with Third Parties and draft 3

party agreements.

• Conduct contract review / analysis with respect to actual or potential contract claims.
• Assist in the development of Teaming Agreements and Professional Services Agreements for alternative delivery projects.
• Participation in the marketing and growth of RK&K’s Owner Advisory Services

Required Experience

• Minimum of a BS in Engineering, Business or other related field
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to work with and coordinate efforts of technical staff, non-technical staff, and legal advisors required.
• Occasional travel may be required.
