Shipping & Receiving Clerk

We are looking for Shipping and Receiving support in the shop.

• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipments.
• Provide support in production sign shop and other departments as needed.
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
• Assembles packaging and inserts items into boxes using spacers / fillers and protective padding if required.
• Prepares shipping labels via computer on shipper’s web site / portal.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments as required and denotes damaged items, shortages and if required corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Route incoming packages to applicable recipient.
• Operate material handling equipment including fork lift.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Pull and trim aluminum for signs.
• Cut wood for construction signs.
• Perform other work related duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.
• Two years shipping, receiving, stock and warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and good communication skills required.
• Computer skills to enter shipping information on vendors web portal(s).
• Work with minimal supervision and under established deadlines.
• Lift 50 lbs and stand / walk / bend majority of shift.
• Use power tools including saws.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as dolly, hand truck and forklift.
