Our client, a well-respected multinational corporation, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Top Responsibilities : Senior Accountant

• Own monthly consolidations, close and reporting activities, including research and investigation
• Oversee the elimination of intercompany and equity transactions, and the accounting for foreign currency translations
• Work closely with Tax and Treasury groups to ensure proper accounting for ad-hoc transactions like dividends, entity structure changes, liquidations, ect.
• Facilitate the recording of intercompany transactions between consolidations, corporate teams throughout the monthly close process
• Prepare and analyze journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring data integrity as well as complete and accurate reporting
• Assist with disposition and acquisition accounting
• Analyze foreign currency translation adjustments as part of the monthly financial close process
• Responsible for several corporate accounting areas such as stock option exercises and related quarterly tax inputs
• Drive process improvements and automation in newly implemented consolidations tool; OneStream
• Continuously challenge how work is performed and identify ways to expand leverage of the model and improve processes, as well as support team process improvement initiatives
• Own, maintain, and build process documents and instructions and assist in developing best practices
• Develop an understanding of system and business processes and policies
• Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively
• Interface with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit including preparing schedules and responding to inquiries
• Special projects and initiatives, as assigned
• Government reporting / surveys
