POSITION : Event Staff Part-Time
DEPARTMENT : Event Services
REPORTS TO : Event Service Manager
FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt Part-Time Hourly
Summary
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for part-time Event Staff at Cabarrus Arena & Events Center.
This is a guest services positing requiring constant interaction with event guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Be at work and in proper uniform according to the scheduled time
- Follow instructions for each event
- Distribute event and venue information and updates to guests
- Listen to and address guest compliments and complaints
- Provide ADA services and information to guests with disabilities and the elderly
- Specific event staffing functions provided by Event Staff members include :
o Door / Gate Attendant
o Metal detector operation
o Bag checks
o Ticket Taker
o Usher
o Parking Money Taker
o Parking Flagger
o Catering & Concession workers
- Project a welcoming disposition so that guests feel comfortable asking for assistance
- Provide friendly and courteous service at all times
- Keep floors and aisle free of obstructions
- Advise guests of relevant event and venue policies
- Performs other related duties specific to individual events
- Remain at assigned station and perform duties as assigned according to each event

Hours of Work and Travel Requirements
- 15-40 hours per week on average
- Irregular hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays as determined by event schedule
- Shifts of up to 10 hours may be required occasionally
