POSITION SUMMARY : The primary purpose of the Pool Cocktail Server is to provide friendly, attentive and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all of our guests.

Each Pool Cocktail Server’s primary objective is to show our guests’ quality service delivered with a smile each and every interaction so that they will want to become a repeat customer.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

Top 5 Specific Job Functions :

  • Greets guests in a timely manner and requests primary beverage order
  • Initiates conversation with guests, inquiring about their satisfaction with their experience at our hotel thus far
  • Maintains a Guest focus while performing all duties
  • Knowledgeable with all types of liquors and beers and their respective recipes, non-alcoholic beverages, and garnishes
  • Takes beverage orders from guests

Other Specific Job Functions :

  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality guest’s experience
  • Prepare garnishes for drinks
  • Expedites drink orders for each guest quickly and accurately
  • Ability to provide complimentary cocktails to gaming customers based on company gaming standards
  • Transports glasses back to bar for washing and disposes of trash in designated receptacles
  • Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving
  • Anticipates guest needs, when possible
  • Communicates with servers and managers regarding guest requests
  • Performs all other job-related duties as assigned
  • Be a brand advocate by providing Guests with accurate information regarding our venues, menus, and pricing
  • Recognize and cultivate regular Guests and repeat business
  • Marketing and promoting pool-specific events on property

RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL MANAGEMENT

  • Recognize and acknowledge when Guests are becoming intoxicated and / or are intoxicated
  • Monitor potentially intoxicated and / or disruptive Guests and promptly bring to a Manager’s attention
  • Refuse further service of alcohol to intoxicated Guests in a courteous and safety-minded manner
  • Responsible for accurately checking Guest identification
  • Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and / or departmental policies / procedures
  • Comply with all state and federal liquor laws

Requirements

REQUIRED :

  • At least 1 year of cocktail service experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service
  • Must possess a high school diploma
  • Ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to handle cash and accurately make change
  • Ability to speak and to listen in a public forum
  • Manage multiple tasks and remain calm in very high paced and stressful environment and work under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in seasonal heat (100F+) or cold as well as inclement weather
  • Performs all other job-related duties as requested

Preferred :

Previous experience working in a similar Hotel Casino setting

  • Alcohol Awareness
  • Food Handler’s Card
