Summary Statement : A Dispatcher is responsible for receiving and relaying information, instructions, and work orders to Facilities team personnel under standard and emergency conditions.
The Dispatcher will receive, record, and report on information regarding work performed, work in progress and requests for assistance.
The position responds to all inbound communication in the Fire Command Center, serving as a primary point of contact for all facilities and safety issues.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to maintaining processes, scheduling work, supporting department team members, maintaining Resort World Las Vegas standards, and ensuring an excellent guest and team member experience.
Primary Job Duties : Includes but is not limited to : Responsible for monitoring all emergency alarm systems. Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of a Fire Command Center.
Familiarity with the operation of a fire life safety system and all components including but not limited to : Fireworks panel Smoke Management Annunciator Panels identifying ALARMS, TROUBLES, SUPERVISORIES, etc.
pre-recorded alerts identifying audio alarm zones Responsible for receiving and dispatching calls by telephone, two-way radio and other computer aided devices.
Responsible for logging all information regarding the disposition of the call into HotSOS, logbooks, etc. Notifies fire department, internal departments, governing agencies and / or utilities of emergencies involving their areas of responsibility.
Maintains memoranda, records and files, including division activity records, labor logs, work orders, inventories, monthly activity reports and necessary FCC records.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications : Includes but is not limited to : Proficiency with computers : email, spreadsheets, word documents, etc.
Fluent in English; both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, such as : policy and procedure manuals blueprints, drawings, diagrams, etc maps Preferred : Previous alarm monitoring and / or emergency dispatch experience desired.
Previous call center experience. Experience in a similar Hospitality Resort setting. Proficiency with HotSOS. Minimum Education and Experience : At least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent. Certificates, Licenses, Regulations : Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
