Quality Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring a Quality Engineer in Columbia, SC with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

This is a first shift position.

As a Quality Engineer you will :

• Assure compliance to internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and external standards. Leading Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Risk Management, Risk Reviews, and change control.
• Provide quality assurance and control for FDA regulated products including incoming materials and final release testing.
• Support Product Manufacturing through the maintenance of standards (Raw material, Product inspection, Test Method).
• Support Outsourced Manufacturing : Quality Plans, Commercial Supplier Standards, CoAs, SCARs, and Drug Product Batch Record Reviews.
• Lead investigations, corrective action responses, trending and monitoring for nonconforming materials, complaints, risk reviews, and supplier issues
• Driving quality and continuous improvement.

Estimated Duration 24+ months.

The ideal candidate will have :

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics / Mathematics or related discipline
• Previous experience working in FDS or drug environment(preferred)
• Working knowledge of root cause analysis tools and techniques
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of statistical and quality engineering tools such as exploratory data analysis, basic statistics, Gage R&R, Analysis of Variance, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.

Pay Rate : $40.00-45.51 hr.

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
