Associate Contracts Specialist

ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking an Associate Contracts Specialist to support the administration of contracts and proposals. Seeking someone with administrative experience to support the contract inbox and learn how to triage and organize contract communications internally and externally. Interest in Life science and prior contracts experience preferred but not required. This role involves building strong relationships through the execution, post-award administration, and termination of contracts. This a hybrid role based in Manassas, VA or Gaithersburg, MD.

Responsibilities
- Contract Administration & Compliance : Supports the full lifecycle of agreements ensuring all documentation, certifications, and reporting align with organizational policies. Reviews contracts for conformity and assesses risk to the business.
- Reporting & Data Management : Maintains reports related to contract activity and departmental deliverables. Ensures timely processing of reports and maintains accuracy in data tracking and documentation.
- Communication & Collaboration : Takes the lead in managing various communication channels, including a department inbox, and plays an integral role in handling transfer inquiries and Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs). Utilizes organizational policies to effectively resolve routine issues and actively participates in exciting special projects as necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 02 years' experience or equivalent experience.Prior experience in client communications and contract support preferredAbility to support customer service requests and maintain the database, supporting contracts managementStrong attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and highly organizedProficiency in preparing and analyzing spreadsheets, reports, and contract-related documentation.Effective communication skills to manage departmental correspondence and support the contracts teamAbility to apply organizational policies and procedures to resolve routine issues and support special projects.Familiarity with contract lifecycle processes including execution, amendments, and closeout preferred.A customer-focused mindset along with a commitment to responsiveness and maintaining high satisfaction levels is valued.Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
