Delivery Driver (Distributor)

Job Summary :

Interstate Battery System of Harrisburg is currently seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver (Distributor) to join our team in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania on a part-time basis.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our distribution team, responsible for delivering batteries and related supplies to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

As a vital member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the reputation of our company.

Compensation :

This is a part-time hourly position with a competitive compensation package of $18 to $20 per hour, paid weekly. Able to run Western Pennsylvania 2 to 3 days a week.

Responsibilities :

• Safely and efficiently operate a delivery truck to transport batteries and related supplies to our customers. On average 20 stops per day.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries, considering traffic and weather conditions.
• Pick, load, and unload batteries and other supplies using proper lifting and safety techniques.
• Verify and review delivery orders to ensure accuracy and completeness. Replacing and rotating batteries and picking up cores at each stop.
• Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with customers during deliveries.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on the delivery truck and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while on the road and at delivery locations.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure efficient inventory management and accurate order fulfillment.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and standards at all times.

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a delivery driver or related role.
• Valid driver's license with CDL and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Excellent time management and organization skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Hummelstown and surrounding areas is preferred.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
