COORDINATOR – LIBRARY INFORMATION SERVICES
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Online Education and Resources, or designee, the Coordinator Library Information Services, is responsible for coordinating and providing technical support for library services to students.
Supervisory Role Oral and written instructions are received from the Assistant Dean of Online Education and Resources or designee.
The Coordinator Library Information Services may supervise support staff, and student workers. Duties & Responsibilities 1.
Serve as the interface between the librarians and teaching faculty for scheduling rooms and times for instruction on information literacy and research support.
2. Access databases, disseminate information on resources and materials and provide technical support.3. Assist librarians in the development and implementation of information literacy initiatives and in teaching research and search strategies.
4. Assist librarians in their work with teaching faculty to provide supplemental academic resources in support of instruction.
5. Collect / analyze circulation data, and assist with the preparation of reports related to the assessment of library utilization and in the development of strategies to enhance outcomes.
6. Assist in the acquisition of new materials and open resources needed to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and College regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines with regard to courses and programs offered at the College.
7. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of staff, student, and client records.8. Prepare routine, special, and ancillary reports as required.

Bend, twist, climb, push, pull, and lift. Additional Requirements Minimum Qualifications Experience (number of years), Knowledge and / or Abilities 1.
Bachelor’s Degree.2. Demonstrated familiarity with academic research databases.3. Substantial experience with Microsoft Office, and in particular, Word, Excel (including the Statistical Add-in) and Access.
4. Excellent organizational skills.5. Excellent interpersonal skills.6. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

g., CPR, first aid, driver’s license, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Experience (number of years), Knowledge and / or Abilities 1.
Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or related area.2. Two or more years of experience working in a public or academic library.
3. Familiarity with information literacy and academic database research, preferably with Vale NJ.4. Experience working in higher education, preferably at a community college or a library in an urban environment.
