Job Title : Cloud Engineer

Location : Irvine, CA (Onsite)

Duration : 1 month

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing and implementing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments while collaborating closely with DevOps and Security teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in AWS Cloud Security, CSPM tools, automation scripting, and analytics platforms such as Snowflake and Power BI , along with a passion for building secure and efficient cloud systems .

Job Description :

As a Cloud Engineer , you will be responsible for strengthening cloud security posture, managing configuration compliance, and integrating automation into cloud infrastructure operations. You will design, develop, and monitor secure AWS environments while working on analytics and data integration to improve visibility across systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and implement secure configurations for AWS services including IAM, S3, EC2, RDS, and Lambda .

Deploy and manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools to detect and remediate misconfigurations.

Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security controls within CI / CD pipelines.

Develop and enforce cloud security policies, automation scripts , and best practices.

Monitor AWS environments for vulnerabilities, compliance drift, and anomalous behavior.

Design and implement data pipelines in Snowflake to ingest, transform, and model security-related data.

Integrate AWS data sources (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift) into analytics platforms for real-time insights.

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to track security KPIs, compliance metrics, and trends.

Automate workflows, improve performance, and ensure secure data management practices.

Support data governance , privacy, and compliance efforts within the cloud environment.

Qualifications :

6 8 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in cloud security engineering.

Strong knowledge of AWS services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM, KMS, CloudTrail , and CSPM platforms.

Expertise with Python, Bash, or Terraform for automation and security remediation.

Hands-on experience in Snowflake, Power BI, and AWS data lake architectures .

Familiarity with cloud compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO) and Zero Trust principles .

Understanding of container security (EKS, ECS) and serverless best practices.

Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Security Specialty, CISSP, CCSP) are a plus.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

Experience in multi-cloud environments ( Azure, GCP ) and cloud-native security controls.

Familiarity with data privacy standards such as GDPR and SOC 2.

Exposure to security analytics, SIEM, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps pipelines .

Knowledge of CI / CD and version control systems (e.g., Git).
