Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN in the Air Operations Department, Ground Electronics Maintenance Division of NAVAL BASE VENTURA COUNTY. Responsibilities You will maintain overall responsibility for work planning to be accomplished by subordinates. Set and adjust priorities, short and long term, and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of air traffic control systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : 1) Experienced in performing and supervising electronic, avionics, and aircraft support system operations across transcontinental, cargo, fighter, trainer, rotary-wing, and commercial aircraft platforms. 2) Skilled in the buildup, configuration, and loading of cargo pallets, ensuring proper weight distribution, restraint, and compliance with aircraft-specific technical data and safety standards. 3) Proficient in servicing and handling all transient aircraft, including applying external power, towing, marshaling, and performing operational checks in accordance with technical orders and maintenance directives. 4) Fully trained and licensed to operate a wide range of ground support equipment (GSE), including aircraft tugs, generators, air start units, hydraulic test stands, and cargo / material-handling equipment. 5) Provides technical leadership and oversight to electronic technicians, ensuring accurate troubleshooting, adherence to technical documentation, safety compliance, and efficient flight line operations.
