Hourly Pay

$18.50 / hr

Shift

  • Sunday - Wednesday 8 : 30am - 7 : 00pm
  • Wednesday - Saturday 8 : 30am - 7 : 00pm

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and conscientious with a passion for protecting the customer. The primary role will be to perform product inspections during the inbound process to identify incoming damage or defects to prevent them from entering our network.

This involves delicate unpacking and repackaging to ensure no impact to the product or its protection. Flexibility is also important as this role and the department as a whole evolves over time.

The associate will also be a valued member of the team whose ideas and suggestions will be leveraged to continue improving the process.

What You'll Do

  • Unpack and inspect inbound product to identify damage or defects
  • Perform repairs on boxes such as taping, reboxing when needed, repalletizing and using banding material to strap boxes to pallets
  • When the repair area is clean, you will walk the floor to inspect freight to see if it needs to be repaired. Any freight needing repair will need to be brought to the repair area
  • Document the results of inspection through RF gun scans
  • Collect evidence of failures by capturing key attributes (location, failure mode, and images via a google form
  • Manage product flow through their workstation and the department as a whole
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with supervisor, lead, peers and support staff to implement
  • Assist the warehouse floor as needed by the Supervisor
  • Be cross trained in other departments and perform additional responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 lbs. unassisted and moving product 150+ lbs. unassisted or via team lift
  • Must be able to work on the warehouse floor 8 hours a day or more
  • Strong, consistent work ethic
  • Excellent time management and punctuality; Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable using hardware technology (RF Guns, Android devices,
  • Able to solve problems by thinking analytically and creatively
  • Experience in Distribution or Logistics is a plus
  • Able to read and comprehend English to ensure your safety and the safety of those working around you
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
