Summary : This position is responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to improve the overall efficiency, productivity, and quality of Personal Lines Operations with a focus on process improvement, vendor, and expense management.

Tracking, monitoring, and measuring the effectiveness of business initiatives, programs, projects, and business operations.

Overseeing and implementing automation initiatives. Managing existing contracts, agreements, and relationships. Participating in the evaluation and analysis of expenses for new and exiting vendor products and services.

Conducting annual planning and setting and establish initiatives in conduction with the personal lines strategy. Utilizing data to provide analysis, insights, and recommendation to leaders within the department to drive strategic initiatives and data backed decisioning.

What You’ll Be Doing :

Track, monitor, and measure (through metrics) the effectiveness and success of business initiatives, programs, projects, and business operations.

Participate in the analysis and make recommendations to mitigate PL expenses. Track and monitor PL Underwriting / Operational metrics and trends.

Drive the creation, development, and analysis of the department’s reporting.Identify, evaluate, recommend, and communicate operational analysis and insights to management.

Share and elaborate on reporting with stakeholders and leadership.Make recommendations to mitigate PL expenses.

Maintain monthly and quarterly assessments of organization's performance against productivity, efficiency, expenses, and operational goals.

Participate in the analysis and development of recommendations to improve productivity and efficiency.

Oversee and implement automation initiatives with a focus on process improvement and reducing expenses. Partner with leadership to establish and maintain policies and procedures for consideration, evaluation, and qualification of new technologies.

Responsible for developing and submitting automation ideas for the department. This includes process mapping of current and future state workflow, developing ROI’s, metrics, and models.

Develop and conduct quality audits on all implemented automation processes to ensure proper execution, quality and accuracy.

Work with business partners (Emerging Tech, Data Science, Research and Development, Operational Excellence) to identify and implement improvements and / or tools & technologies.

Analyze, monitor, and report on the activity within the automation space to leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Participate in corporate and personal lines business initiatives. Identify, evaluate, implement, and communicate business processes necessary to achieve the objectives and to create processes that will ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage the execution plan for all operations enhancements. Determine metrics and reporting to monitor performance of enhancement.

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

  • Work with PL Management on various business areas to address operational needs and identify potential improvements.
  • Participate in and conduct annual planning. Establish operations initiatives in conjunction with the personal lines strategy.
  • Vendor Management :
  • Manage existing vendor contracts, agreements and relationships. Participate in the evaluation and analysis of new and existing vendor products and services, including cost-benefit, return on investment, and overall business impact.

Make recommendations regarding vendor products and services.

  • Provide ongoing support of the existing vendor products, problem solve and troubleshoot production issues, maintain service levels and reporting.
  • Work with products as vendor contact point person on new product feature opportunities and agent / customer experience advancements.
  • Conduct cost-benefit, return on investments and overall business impact analysis for new and existing vendor products and services.
  • Optimize report ordering processes and expenses working in conjunction with products and underwriting.
  • Track and monitor PL expenses and trends pertaining to consumer reports. Participate in the analysis and development of expense management recommendations.
  • Manage Personal Lines Underwriting programs, including but not limited to Underwriting Decision System and Inspection workflow.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness and success of process improvement and expense management initiatives.
  • Evaluate, plan and implement improvements in business and workflow processes.
  • Participate in the development of the Ops Program team. Provide training and oversight as necessary.

What You’ll Bring To The Company :

Experience

  • 5+ years in analytical, financial, or operational position
  • Continuous improvement experience, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified preferred
  • Experience implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA), VBAs, or other automation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Solutions oriented with a curious and analytical mindset
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to convey findings from complex data sets with the use of easy-to-understand charts, graphs, or other visuals.

Ability to derive insights from data and draw suggestions based on trends.

  • Understanding of databases and dashboard tools available
  • Experience creating dashboard and data visuals within Excel, PowerBI, Microstrategy, or similar technology
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Proficient in Excel with VBA experience
  • Proficient at querying large data sets utilizing SQL or Python
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred, concentration in Business, Logistics, Economics, Risk Management, or related education
