Job Purpose
The Commercial Regional Account Manager VP is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the performance, growth, and operations of commercial insurance activities within a designated region. This position focuses on driving sales, ensuring service excellence, analyzing market trends, and managing a high-performing team of Account Managers to meet strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, mentor, and manage a team of Account Managers to achieve performance goals and deliver exceptional client outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and execution of regional business strategies, establishing sales targets, growth objectives, and operational plans.
- Drive best practices and process adherence at the agency level.
- Implement regional sales and retention initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and promote cross-selling to maximize client engagement and revenue growth.
- Stay current on local and national market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory issues to guide regional decision-making and maintain competitive positioning.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the regional insurance market, competitive landscape, and carrier capabilities.
- Ensure risk management standards and profitability targets are met through effective oversight of pricing structures, retention, and portfolio management.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers, ensuring exceptional service, responsiveness, and trust-based partnerships.
- Conduct regular meetings with staff, agency partners, and regional presidents to assess performance, share insights, and promote alignment with company goals.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
College degree with a minimum of 3 years insurance experience, or a minimum of 5 years insurance experience.Valid Property & Casualty Broker-Agent license required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines insurance, underwriting procedures, products, rating plans, and regional regulatory requirements.Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop professional staff in a dynamic environment.Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify growth opportunities.Significant senior management experience within the insurance industry.Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.Working Conditions
