Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will document the company’s financial transactions, prepare financial statements, maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing payments, preparing payroll, and other essential accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.

A MS Dynamics Business Central Accountant uses the ERP system to manage daily financial tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger operations, cash flow management, and financial reporting. The role requires accuracy and efficiency, leveraging Business Central's features to reduce errors, shorten month-end closing periods, and provide quick access to financial data for decision-making. Responsibilities also include managing fixed assets, handling user inquiries, and performing financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management :

Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including making and collecting payments, and managing vendor and customer accounts.

General Ledger & Reporting :

Maintain the general ledger, categorize accounts, and prepare accurate financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements.

Cash Flow Management :

Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity and support financial planning.

Period-End Closing :

Prepare the company for fiscal period and year-end closing, managing closing processes to ensure accuracy.

Data Accuracy & Troubleshooting :

Investigate and resolve internal accounting issues, such as missing data or invoice errors, to maintain data integrity.

Fixed Asset Management :

Track, depreciate, and manage the lifecycle of fixed assets.

Skills & Qualifications

Business Central Expertise : Proficiency in navigating and utilizing MS Dynamics 365 Business Central for financial functions.

Accounting Knowledge : A strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

Data Analysis : The ability to drill down into financial data and analyze reports to gain insights.

Accuracy & Attention to Detail : A commitment to precision in financial tasks and reporting.

Problem-Solving : The ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and data issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, MS Dynamics Business Central, and basic accounting systems
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

Compensation : $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Later on, he created a chocolate flavor of The Amazing Chickpea, Choc-a-Chic, that tastes like popular hazelnut spread brands but contains less sugar and fat, and it contains no nuts!
