Fire Safety Specialist – UniFirst First Aid+ Safety

UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and hardworking Fire Safety Specialist to join our team. As a specialist in Fire Safety, your duties will encompass the servicing, repair, and upkeep of portable fire equipment and emergency lighting systems for our existing clientele.
You'll also play a role in advocating and vending supplementary services and products to current and potential clientele.
When working with UniFirst First Aid + Safety, we provide a variety of shifts. Our standard is a 5-day work week, enjoy two days off a week.
We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

What you’ll be doing :
- Conduct monthly and annual inspections on portable fire extinguishers to uphold compliance with NPFA 10 code.
- Inspect and test emergency egress lighting and exit signs.
- Provide sales efforts for new customer acquisition, including cold calling, presentations, and product / service demonstrations.
Collaborate with the service department to ensure customer contentment.
- Offer service, repair, and maintenance for portable fire equipment and emergency exit lighting systems for our established customer base post-training.
- Utilize our industry-leading expertise to perform systems testing and inspections and identify code and non-conformance issues.
- Promote and sell additional products and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned per management.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for :
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience in performing monthly and annual inspections on portable fire extinguishers.
- Experience in sales and upselling fire / safety-safety related products and services preferred.
- Must have a Fire Extinguisher license or certification, as required by State, County, and / or City.
- Must have a keen eye for detail, quickly detecting any errors or mistakes.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
