Responsibilities

A Director of Nursing, or Nursing Director, oversees the nursing staff and overall nursing operations of their healthcare facility.

Their duties include evaluating and directing all nursing employees, establishing goals for the nursing department and creating and enforcing compliant healthcare policies.

Developing, reviewing, or administering patient care plans in a medical setting.

Qualifications

  • A license to work as a Registered Nurse (RN), awarded upon successfully passing the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse).
  • Years of experience : 2-3 years.
  • Skill or experience related to providing end of life care, either in the individual's home or in a hospice care facility.

Care may include pain management, emotional or spiritual support, or short-term respite services.

  • The candidate needs a very reliable car, current car insurance, valid RN license, and CPR certification.
