Our client, a well-established organization headquartered in Waterbury, CT, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing, compliance, and reporting for a multi-entity operation. Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly and biweekly cycles across multiple entities.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
Maintain payroll systems and employee records, including new hires, terminations, and pay changes.
Prepare and file payroll tax returns; reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Partner with HR and Finance to support audits, reporting, and budgeting activities.
Lead process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
Supervise and mentor payroll staff (if applicable).
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including management or lead-level responsibility.
Strong knowledge of payroll laws and multi-state regulations.
Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, or Paychex.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
