We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator and Warehouse Support Member to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently operate a forklift to move materials and products around our facility.
Additionally, you will play a role in ensuring that employees have the necessary materials and supplies to sustain their workflow.
Starting Pay : $19 / hr, depending on experience
Primary Responsibilities :
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to transport materials and products between the yard and warehouse
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition
- Ensure accurate equipment movement and material handling activities as directed by the Yard Foreman
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the yard inventory
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet deadlines
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or inventory discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
- Support other warehouse functions such as gathering equipment to support shipping / receiving tasks
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations
Requirements :
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills among team for safety and operational reasons
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures
- Flexibility to work Saturdays as necessary
