Our Prime Video Personalization and Discovery team is obsessed with delighting customers by helping them easily discover new TV shows, movies, live content and more. We’re looking for a strategic HR partner to help shape the future of this work.

About the role

As the Principal HR Business Partner for Prime Video Personalization & Discovery, you'll partner directly with executive tech leaders who are reshaping how millions experience entertainment. You'll be more than just an HR leader – you'll drive organizational capability that ultimately leads to business impact. You’ll identify and drive the highest impact people initiatives - from organizational structure, operating models, and decision rights, to driving culture and shaping an engaged workforce that embraces AI and the future of streaming.

The ideal candidate isn't just looking for another HR role – they're seeking to make their mark on an industry in transformation. Your experience should demonstrate success in driving change at scale, with a track record of guiding senior leaders through complex organizational challenges. You'll bring both the strategic vision to anticipate future needs and the practical expertise to execute flawlessly on day-to-day talent operations.

The role demands someone equally comfortable analyzing workforce metrics as they are ideating how AI adoption can drive the business forward, or advising senior leaders on sensitive topics. You'll act as strategist, coach, and innovation partner – all in service of building the teams that will define the future of entertainment. A day in the life

  • Start your morning collaborating with executive leaders on strategic workforce planning
  • Attend a meeting with key leaders on Prime Video's personalization strategy
  • Partner with recruiting to design innovative hiring strategies for critical roles
  • Develop a culture plan to drive high performance leadership, excitement for the business vision, and AI-first operating models
  • Coach executive leaders to design high performing orgs and amplify their personal impact
  • Analyze attrition and engagement data to develop targeted retention initiatives
  • Meet with compensation to discuss strategies that reward excellence and innovation

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of leadership work as an HR generalist, preferably in a high tech environment experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to deliver results
  • Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership
  • Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
  • Strong business acumen and curiosity
  • Ability to craft talent strategies (including AI-driven solutions) that drive business impact

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $139,200 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $230,200 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
