A school district is seeking a Substitute CPI Paraprofessional to assist in classroom and behavioral support for students with special needs. The role provides flexible, short-term assignments that ensure continuity of educational and behavioral programs.

Responsibilities / Duties :

Support implementation of individualized behavior-support and academic plans

Utilize CPI-approved strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviors

Provide instructional assistance to students in academic, social, and adaptive skill development

Maintain accurate behavioral data and communicate observations to supervising educators

Assist with daily routines, classroom transitions, and positive reinforcement programs

Qualifications / Desired Experience :

Valid CPI certification or recent completion of CPI training

Previous experience as a paraprofessional, behavioral aide, or instructional support provider preferred

Ability to remain calm, professional, and patient in high-stress situations

Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and support staff
