Take on a flexible and impactful role in local schools as a Substitute Paraprofessional. This role focuses on supporting students with behavioral, physical, or academic challenges in a variety of classroom settings. Applicants must be prepared to respond to student needs with empathy and professionalism.
Qualified candidates must have :
Current CPR certification (required)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification (required)
Prior experience working with youth or students, especially in support or behavioral roles
Ability to remain composed in active or escalated situations
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
District-required background clearance
Duties may include :
Providing direct student support during instructional time
Assisting with de-escalation and safe intervention strategies
Helping students with daily tasks, including mobility or hygiene support
Supporting instruction by reinforcing teacher-led activities
Supervising students in and out of the classroom, including during transitions
Maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment
This role offers a flexible schedule and an opportunity to make a difference in the day-to-day experience of students needing extra support.
Hours are not guaranteed and shifts will be offered on an as-needed basis according to school needs.
