Senior Accountant

Our client in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.

This is a direct hire / full-time / hybrid position

Salary range based on experience : $80K - $90K

Basic Requirements :

• At least 3 years of financial close process and financial reporting
• Accounting degree (bachelor's or master's)
• A finance degree or MBA is considered only when they have relevant work experience
• Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with ERP software
• Problem-solving skills
• Great communication skills
• Full onsite work environment to start. Hybrid opportunities available after training

Responsibilities Include

• Primarily responsible for inventory, payroll, fixed assets, and financial close process.
• Assist inventory count compilation and perform recount audit. Maintain proper inventory sub-ledger.
• Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of reconciliations of general ledger accounts and posting journal entries.

Perform financial analysis.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and various financial reporting
• Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget and update financial forecasts
• Process payroll
• Prepare and file state sales tax and CAT returns and issue forms 1099
• Provide audit and tax filing assistance to CPA firm
• Document and update standard operating procedures
• Support process improvements
• Perform ad hoc projects as assigned
