A company is looking for a Certified Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize expertise in medical record review to support accurate inpatient and outpatient coding

Assign accurate ICD-10 medical codes for diagnoses and procedures

Respond to coding and reimbursement rule changes and update necessary documentation

Qualifications and Requirements

AAPC or NAHP Coding Certification

3-5 years of inpatient and outpatient coding experience

Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and billing standards

Familiarity with health information systems such as Epic or Cerner

Understanding of Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) reimbursement methodologies
