Senior Manager Of Professional Staff Recruiting
Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Manager of Professional Staff Recruiting. This position could be based in any of our U.S. offices. Orrick is on a mission to redefine how we attract, engage, and hire top talent. As we grow, we're looking for a forward-thinking Senior Manager of Professional Staff to lead the transformation of our recruiting function for our US business professional staff ensuring we build a scalable, inclusive, and high-impact talent acquisition strategy.
Role Overview
As the Senior Manager of Professional Staff, you will be responsible for reimagining our recruitment processes, implementing best-in-class practices, and driving innovation across the talent acquisition lifecycle. You'll lead a team of recruiters, partner with business leaders, and leverage data and technology to deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic roadmap to transform the recruiting function, aligning with business goals and future workforce needs. Assess current recruitment processes, identify gaps, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and diversity of hires. Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of recruiters, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Introduce and champion new technologies, tools, and methodologies to modernize talent acquisition. Team with HR Business Partners and firm leadership on the offer approval and headcount management process. Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and business leaders to understand talent needs and deliver tailored recruiting solutions. Build and develop job description inventory and review and sign off on job descriptions prior to posting. Use data and analytics to measure recruitment performance, report on key metrics, and inform decision-making. Ensure an inclusive and equitable recruitment process that attracts diverse talent. Collaborate with our communications team on employer branding initiatives to position Orrick as an employer of choice. Stay current on industry trends, labor market changes, and best practices in recruitment. Lead searches for Senior Management, Director, Senior Manager and Manager business professional staff positions across the U.S. Facilitate a full portfolio of active searches while minimizing time to hire.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruiting (or related experience) with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Proven track record of transforming or scaling recruiting functions in a dynamic environment. Strong knowledge of recruiting technologies, ATS systems, and sourcing strategies. Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to drive decisions and improvements. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills. Passion for innovation, diversity, and continuous improvement. A client service-oriented mindset is critical. Experience working with law firms or professional services environment desirable. Technical recruiting experience is not required but is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is : California Major Markets $160,000 - $200,000 New York City $160,000 - $200,000 National $135,000 - $170,000
