Wilson Engineers is an Arizona-based firm with a staff of more than 200 personnel specializing in water and wastewater engineering and construction management. We are dedicated to delivering ethical, reliable, high quality services to our clients based on innovation, while sustaining a challenging and rewarding work environment for our greatest assets, our employees. We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team.
This position requires 40 hours per week in our Tempe office. (This job is not remote.)
Skills & Essential Functions :
- Proficient in the design of low voltage power distribution systems and lighting systems, including single-line diagrams, panel schedules, power plans, lighting plans, block diagrams, and installation details.
- Proficient in completing engineering calculations, including load summaries, breaker sizes, conduit and wire sizing, voltage drop, and fault current.
- Proficient in the design of instrumentation and control systems, including P&IDs, network architecture diagrams, control schematics, control narratives and associated specifications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD software.
- Good understanding of the NFPA 70E National Electrical Code.
- Strong ability to work independently and efficiently on small to medium electrical and control system design projects.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs and control descriptions.
- Experience in construction administration, field inspection, start-up and commissioning.
