The Department offers a variety of technique, ensemble, and lecture courses, including a new major in Music Technology and academic minors in Dance Studies, Dance Performance and Choreography, Music Studies, Music Performance, and Arts Entrepreneurship. Position Overview : The Performing Arts and Technology department seeks applications for applied music lecturers in all instrument areas to provide individual instruction for students who register for applied lessons. Responsibilities include teaching 13 weekly, 45-minute lessons per student and participation in end-of-semester juried exams. This position is part-time; time commitment and compensation depend on the number of assigned students.

Please note : This position is based on need and availability. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Candidates should specify which instruments they are qualified to provide instruction for.

Qualifications :

Minimum Education and Experience :

• Requires master’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.

Other Required Qualifications :

Experience working with applied music students at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications : N / A

Required License(s) or Certification(s) :

Valid NC Driver's License required.
