Take the next step in your career and complete work that makes a real impact!DescriptionPerforms any combination of the following duties at our shop and on field construction projects by transferring from one task to another, where the demands require a worker with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision.Will be assisting in Troubleshooting, Install, remove, rebuild, replace, repair, in-frame, test, adjust, PM service, welding repair, and fabrication of all classifications of vehicles and equipment. Be willing to work alone when needed.Salary Position - Starting pay is based on experience.Knowledge/Skill RequirementGood mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of safe work practices Team OrientationExperience with engine maintenance; Lube, oil, filter replacementDuties and ResponsibilitiesReceives written or oral instructions from Head Mechanic regarding equipment to be serviced.Troubleshoot, rebuilds, replaces and repairs, tires, brakes, drive train, power train, electrical systems, hydraulic, emissions system, etc.Weld and fabricate as neededInspects, clean, maintain, and lubricates equipmentParticipate and complete training in operation of new equipmentPick up parts and equipment as neededLoad/UnIoad deliveries as neededPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, hammering, rubbing, reaching, kneeling, and squatting.Requires regular lifting of up to 801bs.Walking or standing may occupy the entire day.QualificationsClear Background3 Years Experience with Light, Medium, and or Heavy Trucks/Equipment Maintenance and Repair (Gas and Diesel) Preferred but not required.Trade School in Diesel Tech, Auto Tech, or Apprentice Program Preferred but not required Clean MVR, must hold a valid driver license, CDL preferred but not required.Must be 18 or olderWork EnvironmentWillingness to travel to all projects (Lodging is provided at the company's expense for all per diem projects)Company vehicle is provided for all travelTools providedOvertime work is requiredMay be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weatherOccasional Night Time dutiesWhat Silver Creek Construction, Inc.
