Advanced expertise in accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency in computer software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and various accounting systems. Exceptionally organized with a meticulous eye for detail. Strong aptitude for data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Competent in utilizing basic office and accounting software. Detail-oriented : Capable of meticulously reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
Job Summary
Macdonald & Company are exclusively retained by a vertically integrated investment and development business, with over 350 self-storage centres across the country. Our client is looking to appoint an Assistant Property Controller to be responsible for providing high-level support to the Property Controller as they manage property accounting and financial activities. Their duties include producing financial summary statements, forecasting a company’s financial health.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid Management in managing cash inflows and outflows.
- Monitor cash reserves to ensure adequacy for upcoming payments.
- Generate draw requests as needed.
- Compile financial statements for senior management.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for review.
- Support budgeting efforts.
- Ensure adherence to legal guidelines and established accounting principles in all accounting practices.
- Assist with billing processes.
- Collaborate with the company's financial team to develop internal controls and policies.
