Job descriptionCollaborate with senior leadership to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Partner with the CFO to support operations through robust financial systems and forecasting. Coordinate with external accountants for annual reviews and tax filings. Liaise with legal, insurance, and external professionals to ensure seamless operations. Enhance integration between finance and business support services. Build trust and credibility with senior leadership by providing sound financial advice. Supervise and mentor accounting staff to maximize individual and organizational performance. Oversee the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Finance). Assist in implementing corporate financial policies and procedures. Travel to other North American or global offices as needed. Flexible work arrangements with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA certification or CMA designation. 10+ years of progressive accounting and managerial experience. Expertise in USA corporate and personal taxes, foreign currency transactions, and withholding taxes. Proficiency in ERP systems like Dynamics 365, Excel, and other Office programs. Experience in a consulting environment. Strategic financial leadership with a focus on collaboration and communication. Proven ability to foster a positive work culture.

Our client, a leading international consulting firm specializing in the mining industry, is seeking a Controller to join their team in Denver, Colorado. This exciting opportunity places you at the heart of their North American finance group, reporting directly to the North American CFO. With operations spanning six continents and a robust team of professionals, our client is recognized for their commitment to excellence and innovation in their field.
Key Responsibilities
As Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and driving strategic financial management. Your responsibilities will include :
Financial Oversight and Reporting
- Lead all finance, accounting, and reporting activities
- Develop and maintain effective financial controls to measure and enhance company performance.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Oversee payroll processing and manage employee benefits evaluations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Compliance and Coordination
Team Leadership and Development
System and Process Management
Travel and Work Flexibility
