Job description3 years of experience in telecom or fiber optic training development preferably within the aviation aerospace or defense industry. Strong working knowledge of fiber optic systems telecom infrastructure and aerospace communication standards. Experience in instructional design methodologies (ADDIE SAM etc.) and proficiency with tools such as Articulate 360 Adobe Captivate or Camtasia. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively. Familiarity with FAA / EASA regulations MRO environments and aircraft communication systems. Hands-on experience with telecom or fiber optic installation and diagnostics is highly desirable.
Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training Developer with a strong background in telecommunications and fiber optic systems. This role is responsible for designing developing and delivering high-quality technical training programs to support the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of advanced telecom infrastructureincluding fiber optic networkson aircraft and in ground systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop training materials including manuals e-learning modules videos and hands-on labs focused on telecom and fiber optic technologies used in aviation.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) engineers and field technicians to ensure training content is accurate relevant and aligned with operational needs.
- Deliver both instructor-led and virtual training sessions to technical personnel including maintenance teams avionics technicians and engineers.
- Translate complex telecom and fiber optic concepts into clear actionable training objectives and materials.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments feedback surveys and performance metrics; implement improvements as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FAA regulations industry standards and emerging technologies in fiber optics and aviation telecom systems.
- Support onboarding of new technicians and continuous education for existing team members.
- Utilize LMS (Learning Management System) platforms to manage course content and track learner progress.
