Job Title : Production Technician

Job Description

We are a custom compounder of thermoplastic resins seeking a dedicated Production Technician to perform all tasks involved in the operation of extrusion equipment related to our finished product. This position requires following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extrusion / injection molding equipment.
• Fill machine hopper with correct material.
• Adjust machine parameters with required dimensions to obtain the desired product.
• Clean extruder and downstream equipment.
• Observe machine operations and gauges to detect any defective material or machine malfunctions.
• Operate forklift.
• Adhere to all Safety and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Work Environment

Our work environment is family-friendly and generally clean, though it can be dusty in the blender room. The facility is somewhat climate-controlled. While performing duties, you may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The noise level can be loud, and there may be exposure to extreme heat in summer and cold in winter. This role involves frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds multiple times throughout the day and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Shifts are 12 hours long, either day (6 AM - 6 PM) or night (6 PM - 6 AM), with a schedule of 3 days on and 4 days off. This position may require working any shift with overtime and weekend hours as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
