Certified Nursing Assistant

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists patients and families by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs. The CNA provides comfort, transportation, and vital sign monitoring. In addition, the CNA supports and assists nursing personnel and other providers in diagnostic procedures and technical treatments and functions as a member of the healthcare team.

The South Campus Inpatient Unit located in Highlands Ranch offers a wide range of expert pediatric care primarily including patients post surgical care and patients with general medical acute care needs.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Attends to the individual needs of patients, which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, providing comfort and communicating patient needs with other members of the healthcare team.
• Performs various tasks as assigned, including checking vital signs, weighing patients, applying creams / ointments, applying / changing dressings and collecting specimens.
• Meets patient needs by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to healthcare team members.
• Serves as a conduit between patients and other healthcare providers by recording and communicating all issues to medical team members.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Stores and prepares rooms and medical equipment for patient and healthcare team member use.
• Participates in departmental committees and projects as assigned.

Schedule : Full Time (3 - 12hr shifts per week) Shift : Nights (6 : 45pm - 7 : 15am)

Salary Information :

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Hourly Range : $20.00 to $25.09
