A company is looking for a Professional Fee Coder to join their coding team.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately process professional service charges, verifying CPT and ICD codes
Process technical component charges in compliance with billing requirements
Perform coding functions for primary care or specialty focused areas
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent program, or two years of coding experience
Certification in coding by a recognized professional organization required within 18 months of hire
Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, billing practices, and reimbursement systems
Experience in a specialty area is beneficial
Previous computer experience is required
