About the Opportunity
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a well-established, industry-leading manufacturing company in the Salt Lake City area seeking a highly skilled 5-Axis CNC Machinist Programmer . This role is specifically geared toward candidates with extensive experience programming and operating large CNC machines .
If you are looking for a position where your expertise in large-part machining, complex multi-axis programming, and Mastercam proficiency will be fully utilized and respected, this role offers both the challenge and the long-term rewards you’re seeking.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate large 5-Axis CNC mill-turn centers / multi-axis lathes to produce complex, high-precision components.
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam (advanced-level proficiency required).
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Select tools, materials, and cutting parameters to achieve the highest levels of quality and efficiency on large-format machines .
- Troubleshoot machining processes, resolve production issues, and continuously improve cycle times.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure on-time delivery and top-quality results.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
