Anesthesia Medical Coder
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM
Overview :
We're seeking an experienced Anesthesia Medical Coder to the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anesthesia-specific coding, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to resolving coding and billing issues.
Responsibilities :
- Code and enter data for anesthesia services using a variety of record formats
- Perform pre-billing coding audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Review and resolve coding-related claim and payment issues
- Apply knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding conventions, medical terminology, and anatomy
- Stay current with coding rules and regulations for government and commercial payers
- Communicate with providers to obtain clarification and necessary data for coding and billing
- Collaborate with the coding team and billing staff to resolve discrepancies
