RESPONSIBILITIES
The Technical Instructor/Course Developer is responsible for creating, revising, and maintaining technical curriculum that supports integrated product support activities across the product lifecycle. Training content may cover areas such as electronics, welding, equipment operation, system maintenance, or other specialized technical subjects. The instructor uses computer-based tools to organize and develop curriculum, break down complex topics into structured learning modules, create supporting graphics, and integrate materials into instructor-led, computer-based, simulator-based, or interactive courses.
- In addition to curriculum development, the instructor delivers short technical courses to maintain instructional proficiency, evaluate training effectiveness, and support the introduction of new techniques or technologies. Duties include incorporating updated content into existing courses, developing examples and application scenarios, maintaining professional classroom practices, and applying alternative teaching methods to sustain engagement and comprehension.
- The role also supports quality assurance and continuous improvement by conducting test analysis, revising assessment items, and ensuring training materials remain aligned with evolving operational requirements, regulatory expectations, and mission needs. The instructor contributes to early identification of performance gaps and helps ensure personnel are prepared to meet technical and operational demands across diverse environments.
