  • Manage vendor selection and procurement activities to maximize value and project performance.

Fabrication & Production Coordination:

  • Coordinate fabrication priorities and delivery schedules with production personnel.
  • Ensure shop drawings are reviewed, approved, and released to production in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate deliveries and field installation schedules to support project requirements.

Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with AISC standards and company quality procedures.
  • Verify fabrication and project documentation meets customer specifications and contractual requirements.

Safety:

  • Promote and support a culture of safety across all assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with field personnel and management regarding jobsite safety initiatives.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate effectively with estimating, purchasing, production, accounting, quality, and erector teams.
  • Foster teamwork while maintaining accountability for project performance and results.
  • Provide leadership through effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support company operations and project success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret:

    • Shop drawings.
    • Welding symbols and AWS D1.1 & D1.8 requirements.
    • Steel connection details.
  • Working knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
  • Understanding of project budgeting, procurement, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with AISC standards and quality management principles is preferred.

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High level of accountability, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related project management software.

What We're Looking For:

  • A motivated leader who takes ownership of projects and drives results.
  • A strong communicator who can effectively work with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • A team player who values quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Why Join Macuch Steel?

  • Opportunity to manage impactful structural steel projects.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented culture.
  • Stable and growing organization.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • Professional development and advancement opportunities.
