Our client hiring a Project Accountant to support high-value construction projects ($10M+) in Walnut Creek, CA. This full-time, onsite role is newly created and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and wants to make a measurable impact.

You'll work directly with Sr. Project Managers and oversee the financial performance of up to $30M in active work. While core accounting is handled by an outside partner, this role is deeply embedded in the project teamsowning billing, job costing, compliance, and reporting.

What You'll Do :

• Prepare detailed monthly cost-plus billings and organize supporting documentation.
• Manage all project-level accounting : billing, job costing, and financial reporting.
• Partner with PMs to generate job cost reports and track financial performance.
• Ensure accurate financial data within our ERP system (Trimble VISTA).
• Support lien releases, COIs, and project compliance (with help available).
• Use tools like ProjectSite, Bluebeam, Acuview, and collaborate with internal design teams using AutoCAD.
• Handle a portfolio of $20M$30M in active projects (1 large or several smaller jobs).
• Be part of a company managing ~60 active projects at a time.
