About the Role
We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Data Entry Clerk to support our team through accurate data entry and professional, email‑based customer support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an organized, process‑driven environment, enjoys working with details and numbers, and takes pride in accuracy and reliability.
You’ll manage a shared customer inbox, support multiple customers, and maintain clean, well‑organized records while working closely with a small, analytical team in a fast‑paced setting.
What You’ll Do
- Enter alphanumeric data accurately and efficiently into internal systems and databases.
- Manage a shared email inbox and respond to a high volume of customer emails with clear, professional, and timely communication.
- Support multiple customers primarily via email, ensuring responses are organized, concise, and accurate.
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office tools to create, update, and maintain documents and spreadsheets.
- Enter, update, and track orders, customer information, and part numbers within an ERP system.
- Maintain a high level of organization when working with large volumes of product data and detailed part numbers.
- Double‑check entries to protect data integrity and correct errors promptly when identified.
- Handle difficult customer interactions and complex scheduling situations calmly, professionally, and with a solution‑oriented mindset.
- Learn internal processes quickly and apply them consistently in daily work.
- Collaborate effectively with a small team, communicate clearly, and ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Maintain dependable attendance, punctuality, and consistency throughout scheduled shifts.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in data entry, with strong alphanumeric typing accuracy.
- Customer service experience, preferably in a call center or support environment.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, professional email responses.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience using an ERP system for data entry, order processing, or customer records.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when working with numbers, addresses, and part codes.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple requests efficiently in a shared inbox.
- Professional demeanor when handling challenging customers or time‑sensitive issues.
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and retain detailed product or process knowledge.
- Reliable work ethic with a history of consistent attendance and tenure.
- Comfort working onsite in Carlsbad during standard business hours (8:00 . to 5:00 .

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Carlsbad, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
