Primary Function of Position
The purpose of the Regional Director, Market Access is to develop and execute applied health economic patient access strategies and tactical change management plans for targeted region(s) for the Intuitive U.S. Sales Organization. Externally, this position will work with health systems to demonstrate the applied clinical, financial and operational feasibility of Intuitive technologies by developing real world evidence business cases from client provided data. The scope of work for the MACA consulting services would include DaVinci Program Value Research, Infrastructure Optimization and co-developing strategic Growth initiatives to address regional patient access challenges. Internally, the position will be an influential health economic and patient access advisor and full business partner to various ISI internal cross-functional managers including but not limited to sales, marketing, digital product teams, professional educational and program services teams, health economics & outcomes research, clinical affairs, regulatory and legal. Jointly the Regional Director and these ISI peers will develop strategies for messaging or product development targeted for specific P5 (patient, physician, provider, payer & policymaker) customer segments. To best serve external and internal customers; experience in executing services contracts, acquiring client data, advanced analytics, project management skills, remote team environment and peri-operative change management are an absolute must.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Increase patient access to Intuitive technology by removing access, belief and coordination constraints through consultative advanced analytics of partnered healthcare organizations, in concert with the ISI commercial team.
- Develop cost consequence modeling, utilization analyses, cost effectiveness valuing, throughput and budget impact of patient access constraints or clinical pathway variation as it relates to ISI technology deployment.
- Identify and develop thought leadership to incorporate into Intuitive robust peer-to-peer education programs.
- Provide regular voice-of-customer (VOC) feedback on clinical, financial and operational challenges being faced by regional healthcare partners via working with sales, marketing, digital product teams, professional educational and program services teams, health economics & outcomes research, clinical affairs, regulatory and legal to generate ideas on how all Intuitive products and prototypes can serve as a solution to these issues.
- Assist digital product teams in discovery, defining, development & delivery of products.
- Work collaboratively to improve patient access via partnering with hospitals, IDNs, Health Systems, ASCs, AMCs, physician groups, managed care organizations, public and private insurers, physicians, professional societal groups, and policymakers.
