Our company

At Teradata, we believe that people thrive when empowered with better information. That’s why we built the most complete cloud analytics and data platform for AI. By delivering harmonized data, trusted AI, and faster innovation, we uplift and empower our customers—and our customers’ customers—to make better, more confident decisions. The world’s top companies across every major industry trust Teradata to improve business performance, enrich customer experiences, and fully integrate data across the enterprise.

What you will do

In this role you will lead the strategy, design, and delivery of the user interface and user experience across Teradata’s digital products and platforms. You will be accountable for ensuring that every user interaction—whether through the Teradata Console or other product interfaces—reflects excellence, consistency, and the company’s innovation-driven vision.

You will shape the future of how customers engage with Teradata’s technology, enabling intuitive, intelligent, and efficient user experiences powered by modern web technologies and AI-driven design.

As the Senior Director of User Platforms, you will :

Lead and inspire the Console team and UI Center of Excellence, fostering creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Drive the overall UI development strategy, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, brand standards, and user‑centric design principles.

Partner with product, design, and engineering leaders to define and deliver world‑class user experiences that enhance usability, engagement, and satisfaction.

Establish development best practices and scalable frameworks for UI components across platforms.

Apply foundational AI skills to explore and implement ways AI can enhance productivity, innovation, and impact across our workforce—leveraging AI to streamline design, accelerate coding, personalize experiences, and improve accessibility.

Champion experimentation with AI‑based design tools, intelligent user insights, and automation to advance how Teradata delivers value to customers.

Success in this role looks like :

A seamless, intelligent, and unified experience across all Teradata user interfaces—empowering customers to maximize the value of Teradata’s technology while advancing the company’s digital experience maturity and leadership in the age of AI.

Who you will work with

On our team, we design and deliver the digital experience foundation for Teradata’s customers and internal users. The User Platforms organization brings together world‑class UI engineers, designers, and product experts to create scalable, high‑performance, and intuitive interfaces across our portfolio.

This role reports to the SVP Engineering, AI, Analytics, Apps, and UX, and works closely with :

Product Management to align technical solutions with customer and business objectives.

Engineering leaders to ensure architectural consistency and performance across platforms.

Design and AI strategy teams to ensure Teradata’s interfaces evolve with modern technologies and user expectations.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues who share a commitment to leveraging AI responsibly—ensuring our people, customers, and partners benefit from the opportunities AI creates while maintaining trust, transparency, and usability.

What makes you a qualified candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

15+ years of progressive experience in software development or UI engineering, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.

Proven track record of leading enterprise‑scale UI platform development for complex software products.

Demonstrated ability to engage and influence ‘C’ and VP‑level stakeholders, translating business goals into technical direction.

Foundational AI skills and the ability to understand how AI can be applied to improve design, development, and user experience outcomes.

What you will bring

You are a driven, strategic, and innovative leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, design, and user empathy. You bring a deep understanding of front‑end engineering, modern frameworks, and user platform scalability—paired with a passion for how AI can revolutionize development, personalization, and productivity.

You will also bring :

Experience leading large, distributed technical teams with a focus on collaboration and excellence.

Strategic vision for UI platform evolution in cloud‑based enterprise environments.

A mindset for continuous improvement, data‑informed decision‑making, and design‑led innovation.

Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools, generative design systems, and responsible AI principles.

Executive presence and communication skills that inspire confidence and alignment across teams.

A passion for how AI can unlock potential—helping our teams, customers, and communities achieve great things.

Why we think you will love Teradata

We prioritize a people‑first culture because we know our people are at the very heart of our success. We embrace a flexible work model because we trust our people to make decisions about how, when, and where they work.
