Saenz-Garcia PLLC is a rapidly growing firm specializing in immigration and dedicated to securing just outcomes for our clients in complex immigration cases. We are committed to defending immigrant rights and challenging adverse decisions through federal court litigation.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Federal Immigration Litigation Paralegal to provide dedicated, high-level support to our Federal Immigration Litigation Attorneys. This role is essential for managing our federal caseload, focusing heavily on document preparation, strategic organization, and maintaining the integrity of our federal court filings.
What Our Paralegals Do
The Paralegal will provide critical support in managing federal court cases, including but not limited to those involving the following areas :
Federal Case Filing Management : Draft, prepare, and organize all documents necessary for filing Complaints, Motions, Briefs, and Petitions in U.S. District Courts and Circuit Courts of Appeals. Ensure all federal court filings (including electronic / ECF filings) comply with jurisdictional rules and deadlines.
Litigation Support : Prepare attorneys for hearings by assembling trial packets, creating chronologies and charts, and drafting formal discovery / document requests (e.g., FOIA requests).
Specialized Litigation Support : Assist attorneys in litigation related to :
- Administrative Procedure Act (APA) challenges for unreasonable delays or wrongful denials.
- Mandamus actions compelling federal agencies to perform owed duties within reasonable timeframes.
- Habeas Corpus petitions challenging unlawful detentions by federal authorities.
- Circuit Petitions for Review, Denaturalization defense, and Naturalization de novo reviews.
Evidence Management : Review, organize, and summarize voluminous evidence (e.g., criminal records, affidavits, country reports) and prepare materials for court submission.
Client Communication & Ethics : Act as a primary point of contact for clients, gathering necessary information, providing case updates, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
