Job description

Senior Business Development - EPC

We're seeking driven, commercially minded leaders who see opportunity where others see complexity. Our team of co-owners values curiosity, ownership, and a growth mindsetand we're committed to turning those qualities into solutions that matter for our customers and partners.

The Senior Business Developer EPC is responsible for building and scaling AWC's project pipeline through EPC relationships. This role is not just about winning individual projects, it's about creating a repeatable growth engine by influencing projects early, shaping specifications, and positioning AWC and our partners as the preferred solution.

You will operate at the intersection of EPCs, end users, and technology partners, driving strategy from pre-FEED through project award, while expanding AWC's presence across key accounts and market verticals.

How you'll make an impact:

Build and Expand EPC-Centric Growth

  • Develop and execute a targeted EPC engagement strategy to drive long-term pipeline growth
  • Establish AWC as a trusted advisor to EPC project teams, not just a vendor
  • Identify priority EPCs, build multi-level relationships, and create repeatable engagement models across projects

Influence Projects Early (Pre-FEED & FEED)

  • Engage early in the Pre-FEED and FEED cycle to shape valve philosophies, specifications, and package strategies
  • Position AWC and partner capabilities to increase spec inclusion and win probability
  • Create alignment between EPC design decisions and AWC's solution strengths
  • Drive opportunity progression from qualification through award with a focus on conversion and margin

Create Repeatable Project Capture Strategy

  • Build and deploy clear pursuit strategies that align EPC drivers, end-user expectations, and partner capabilities
  • Focus on select market verticals and project scopes where AWC can consistently win and scale
  • Turn one-off wins into repeatable playbooks across EPCs and project types
  • Map decision-makers across EPCs, end users, and partners to accelerate deal velocity

Pull Through Full Solution Value

  • Expand beyond valves to integrated packages, including Field Instrumentation and Pressure Management
  • Coordinate internal teams (Project Team, Account Managers) and partners to deliver complete, differentiated solutions

Create Visibility and Alignment

  • Maintain clear pipeline visibility, highlighting gaps, risks, and next actions
  • Align internal stakeholders around where to invest time and resources for maximum return

Skills you'll need:

  • 8+ years in flow control / valve automation sales, business development, or project capture
  • Proven success building and winning business through EPCs on capital projects
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycle (Pre-FEED, FEED, Execute)
  • Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments (EPC, Client, Partner)
  • Commercial acumen with a track record of driving projects to award
  • Technical foundation in valve applications, automation, and process systems

Here's what will set you apart:

  • Demonstrated ability to turn EPC relationships into a repeatable revenue stream
  • Deep understanding of EPC decision drivers and specification influence
  • Experience shaping project standards, philosophies, or preferred vendor positions
  • Track record of expanding scope across multiple product lines within projects
  • Clear bias for action, ownership, and building somethingnot just maintaining it

The Rewards:

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • 401(K) Match
  • Competitive Pay
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Package
  • Employer Paid Life Insurance
  • Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay
  • Career Development Opportunities
